·        Working knowledge of molecular biology, Virology and microbiology procedures and  practices

·        Experience with method development in a variety of cell-based bioassays

·        Experience in biosafety levels laboratory

·        Knowledge of cell and molecular biology techniques , including cell culture, cell-based assays , nucleic acid amplification and nucleotide sequencing

·        Experience with viral Laboratory techniques, including isolation, propagation and characterization of viruses.

·        Experience with micro techniques and skills to work with minute quantities DNA, RNA and reagents and to avoid cross contamination of extracted RNA or DNA.

·        Knowledge in mathematics and chemistry to perform calculations and prepare reagents, buffer, and dilutions.

·        Experience using and maintaining laboratory balances, scales, PH meters, autoclave and associated equipment for the preparation of buffers and media.

·        Experience using biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, ultracentrifuges, centrifuges, auto and manual pipettes, incubators, microscopes, Computers, Spectrophometer, PH meters,  thermo cyclers and autoclaves.

·        Experience to operate and maintain or schedule maintenance laboratory and computer equipment

·        Experience to critically evaluate new techniques, compare to existing technologies, modify and adapt for novel diagnostic application.

·        Experience in performing cost-effective ordering and use of laboratory and office supplies and equipment for budgetary concerns.
